Longview Refresh in Progress

North County Land Trust (NCLT) is delighted to begin revitalizing Longview Conservation Area in Ashby! Design discussions for the project are well underway, and initial site preparations will begin on November 8th.

On Sunday, November 8th, 2026, Longview Conservation Area will be closed. Please do not visit the property. Following November 8th, the conservation area will again be open to visitors, but the house site will remain closed long-term. For your safety, please respect the posted signage and fencing.

We are overjoyed to start transforming Longview into a more accessible and restful natural space. Once renewed, Longview Conservation Area will feature a pavilion with seating, improved parking, and an accessible trail for users of all abilities. The upgraded overlook at Longview will welcome all visitors to deepen their relationship with nature, creating a space of quiet observation, environmental education, and community gathering on the southern slope of Mount Watatic. Everything we do is supported by our community of donors and volunteers. Thank you for helping make this project possible!
