Join us for a hike of Mt. Watatic from the east side. This 10 am hike will be co-led by Em Merlino of North County Land Trust and volunteer Mike Peckar, Worcester Section Director of the Green Mountain Club, to explore the trails on the south and east side of Mt. Watatic.
Beginning at the the new parking area at 102 Rindge State Road, Ashburnham, MA (Route 119), we will hike through future Mass Wildlife land to the new NCLT farmhouse with great views of Mt. Watatic from below. From there we will hike to up the mountain, have a snack, then head back down a different route. The hike will be about 3 miles long with about a 500 foot elevation gain to the summit.
