On the Edge: Nature and Culture in a Time of Crisis
A collaboration between Fitchburg State University and North County Land Trust
Join us at 1 PM on March 1st for an afternoon of thought-provoking talks, panel discussions, and idea exchange with area leaders on the response to the climate crisis in north central Massachusetts. Stick around for mingling and engaging discussions starting at 3 PM. Representatives from local organizations addressing environmental issues in north central Massachusetts will be available to share information about their initiatives and efforts. Hosted at Fitchburg State University and organized in conjunction with North County Land Trust, this event is for students, citizens, community leaders, and professionals who are interested in exploring the intersection of the natural world and human societies.
The mission of this symposium is to explore different ways in which writers, artists, and musicians can recalibrate our relationship to nature and connect us to a more sustainable path moving forward. We are bringing together New England creators in different fields of cultural production to discuss strategies, collaborations, obstacles, and how to make hopeful action possible in the face of crisis.
