Mike Leonard of North Quabbin Forestry will explain the results of the timber harvest in regard to its overall goals, which trees were chosen to be cut and which were left, and the benefits to the woodland and the wildlife at Rome. Jassy Bratko of North County Land Trust will outline the steps taken to complete the harvest and future plans for the conservation area including new trails, bridges and signage. This walk will be of interest to anyone who may be considering a timber harvest on their land or who enjoys using the conservation area.
