Event Type

Join us at Dwelly Farm Conservation Area to pull invasives!

Important steps in the management plan of our Dwelly Farm Conservation Area are to remove invasive plants, establish a pollinator meadow and make the area a haven for native plants and animals. Join others to help us clear the way for the continued growth of our native plants and a sustained fight to remove the invasive plants on the property. We are in the third year of an intensive 4 year invasive plant removal process and need the help of many hands to pull Glossy Buckthorn seedlings to exhaust the seed bank and give us a fighting chance of eliminating this population over time.

Come on Monday, July 11th at 9am to the Dwelly Farm Conservation Area to help in our efforts to remove these invasive seedlings.  Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and bring gloves if you have them. We will also have some gloves to share.

If you’d like to help with pulling Glossy Buckthorn but you can’t make it to this session, please reach out!  We need all hands on deck and Em would be happy to provide materials and train you to head out and pull whenever it is convenient for you.
