Celebrate World Water Day as we enjoy the beautiful trails at Kirby Conservation Area. Kirby is part of the drainage into the Fitchburg Reservoir, which is a source of drinking water for Fitchburg. We will talk a bit about how protecting forests and wetlands protects water quality. Want a challenge? Find out where your drinking water comes from, then request the water quality from your town or city.
Late winter weather could be a factor on this event. Dress in layers and bring water. We will reach out to registered participants in advance of the walk to advise on trail conditions or any possible changes in our plans.
