Earth Day 2020

Earth Day April 22, 2020 – Think Global, Act Local

While we won’t be gathering together for an Earth Day Clean-up this year, NCLT calls on you to do your part on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22.

If you’d like to help us clean up North County Land Trust properties, we welcome your helping hands!  This year we are looking for volunteers to pick up rubbish in 3 separate locations:

1) Dwelly Conservation Area, Barre Road, Templeton along both sides of Barre Road from Harley Hill Road south to just beyond Conservation Area Trail Head.

2) Crocker Conservation Area, Flat Rock Road, Fitchburg around the trail head/parking area.

3) Crocker Conservation Area, Overlook Reservoir Dam

*We recommend wearing gloves and using trash picking tools and 50 gallon trash bags when cleaning up rubbish.  Please pack out any trash you collect!*

If you can’t make it out to one of our properties but would still like to help, you could clean up the litter on your street, start your garden, or make an extra effort to reduce your electronic use that day. Be creative! We, and our planet, appreciate all of your efforts equally!

Share a photo with us of however you’re helping our planet by emailing info@northcountylandtrust.org or posting to our Facebook page for a chance to win our NCLT klean kanteen reusable water bottle!

We hope you take a moment to make a difference wherever you are.

Remember that what you do LOCALLY makes a difference GLOBALLY.
