Creating Connections Mapping Workshop

North County Land Trust would like to send a BIG THANK YOU to our partners who joined us for our Creating Connections Mapping Workshop on January 28th at the Doyle Community Center at MRPC.  Thank you to MRPC for co-sponsoring the event and providing us a great event space.  We would also like to thank our volunteer, Amanda Suzzi, for her GIS work on the mapping tools for the session.  It was great to see how many people came to participate in the workshop and to connect with their neighboring towns!

We received valuable feedback on our weighted parcel map tool to support our efforts in completing our Strategic Conservation Plan (SCP).  We will use individual town feedback to see how each town’s priorities can be reflected in our plan and to rework the maps and mapping tools to support our efforts.  Once we revise our maps and complete our SCP we will be reaching out to our partnering Land Trusts, Open Space Committees, and Planners to talk about the mapping and data resources at the town level.

As we finalize our SCP, NCLT will continue to support our partners and be a resource for conservation in the region.  We hope to see familiar and new faces at our upcoming Creating Connections events, for more information and access to workshop materials please see HERE.
