North County Land Trust is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Wellness Hub in Hubbardston for their Mindful Hiking class! Wellness Hub is a consortium of wellness services which fall into two categories: Yoga/Meditation and Journeys, their Bereavement Center. Lori Churchill, LICSW, Wellness Hub Director, has maintained a private practice for many years and has focused on holistic healing, often recommending yoga and meditation as helpful additions to work done in her office. As they expand their services to include healing in nature we are excited to support and help grow both of our communities and improve health through the natural world.
Come join Jess Cherry, eco psychologist, from Wellness Hub as we partner to share Mindful Hiking at Underwood Conservation Area in Hubbardston on Tuesday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
How is mindful hiking different from traditional hiking? Jess will lead us on a journey to use our senses, recognize our surroundings and our experiences in the woods, explore our personal reactions and awakenings, and learn more about the healing power of being in nature. We hike rain, snow or shine, only canceling if travel is unsafe. Children are welcome with an adult.
Cost: First hike with Wellness Hub is free, then $15 or 3 for $30 (monthly unlimited packages too, which apply to all weekly yoga classes offered through Wellness Hub at both the Hubbardston and new Princeton locations). All info and registration is HERE at Wellness Hub’s website.
