The NQRLP Mass Open Space Conference occurred on Saturday, April 27th, and was a wonderful event! NCLT TerraCorps Service Member Robin organized two sessions for the conference. One Session featured presenters Geoff McGean, Dan Pereira, and Patty Donahue from Lincoln who spoke on the importance of collaboration and partnership when constructing an Open Space and Recreation Plan. Another session was a panel of presenters who spoke about using the Community Preservation Act to fund open space and recreation projects. NCLT’s very own Director of Land Protection Jassy Bratko sat on this panel as a former member and Chair of the Hubbardston Open Space Committee and former member and Chair of the Community Preservation Committee, as well as Bill Taylor from Upton’s Open Space Committee and Freddie Gillespie, Chair of the Community Preservation Committee in Southborough.
North County Land Trust wants to send out a big Thank You to all of our presenters for participating and presenting on such important topics! Their contributions were invaluable, and the conference participants really benefited from their input.
