North County Land Trust is excited to announce that we have received generous support from Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund to purchase two GRIT Freedom Chairs. The GRIT Freedom Chair is a manual, all-terrain wheelchair which allows the user the freedom to leave the pavement behind and explore the outdoors on trail terrain. We will have these two Spartan GRIT Freedom Chairs available to community members to use through a lending program. These chairs will be available for use out of our Leominster office and can be taken to our Underwood Conservation Area’s Wild Walk trail, designed specifically for GRIT Chair use, or other trails in the area to enjoy. We hope to enable any mobility impaired community member to get out in nature and explore.
