Thanks to students and staff from Fitchburg State University and Mount Wachusett Community College, many different plant invasives were pulled from the land on the property near the house on Hardy Road! Participants spent their time and energy on the morning of Saturday, October 2 helping Emily with this big project!
North County Land Trust and the important ecosystems containing native plants and animals are all thankful for the important work that has been accomplished! It was a beautiful day and the volunteer’s hands definitely got dirty! Emily Merlino, Stewardship Coordinator, said “I really enjoyed having you all on the crew for the day and hope you will consider volunteering with NCLT again in the future.”
This work is not yet done! If you or a dedicated group would be interested in hearing about other trail work days in the future or even volunteering with NCLT in the office. please let us know. We could always use the helping hands!
