Rome Conservation Area increased in size recently when 14 additional acres were donated to North County Land Trust. The acreage was two proposed cul-de-sacs that would have added an additional 30 houses to the Brookside Drive development and further impacted nearby wetlands, wildlife and trails. NCLT will now be able to create a parking area and trailhead to welcome visitors to our largest conservation area.
