Thank you SO MUCH to the over 25 volunteers from Workers Credit Union and North County Land Trust came out for the United Way of North Central Massachusetts 2021 Day of Caring.
On Friday, September 17, 2.5 tons of lumber were hauled 1/3 of a mile into the woods at Underwood Conservation Area and began to be assembled into a 92 foot bog bridge! This was no small feat and every step helps to complete this large task. When completed, this bridge will help those traveling along the Nonesuch Loop Trail to avoid the often muddy and slippery terrain.
We are beyond impressed with how much got done in one day and grateful for every helping hand! If you’re interested in more volunteer stewardship opportunities, reach out to Emily Merlino, emerlino@northcountylandtrust.org.
