Beim Foundation Awards $30,000 to North County Land Trust

North County Land Trust is very pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $30,000 grant from the Biem Foundation for General Operations. The Beim Foundation, based out of Minnesota, supports the arts, education, human services, and environment. They have given this money to North County Land Trust because they of their belief in our mission and the great work that we have ahead of us. We are truly grateful!

A representative from the foundation visited NCLT this past summer to witness community conservation in action as we worked with a neighborhood in Fitchburg to figure out how to save a small area the was important to them.  In addition, they were impressed with the vision North County Land Trust has as a resource for land conservation for the region and the  need for support as we focus on crafting a strategic conservation plan involving all our partners.

It is because of generous and forward-thinking individuals and foundations like this that we are able to best serve the region.  As threats to our environment increase, our work is only becoming more critical. They understand that when we are successful everyone in the region benefits.  We are sincerely thankful for this and all support.
