Come learn all about owls with an engaging program from Laurie Nehring, local naturalist. Kids will learn the many interesting characteristics of owls through a hands-on experience and brief presentation. Each child will have the opportunity to dissect their own owl pellet and discover the eating habits of these beautiful nocturnal birds.
This free event will take place on Thursday, February 23, at 10am at the Leominster Public Library. We will gather in the Large Meeting Room for the presentation and owl pellet dissection. All supplies will be provided at no cost for participants.
The Owl Pellet Dissection Lab is recommended for kids aged 8+. Registration required – please only register for each child participating (not the adult). Each parent or guardian must stay at the library for the duration of the program. This is limited to the first 20 participants. Please register on the Leominster Library website, registration opens on February 16. https://leominsterlibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/owl-pellet-dissection-with-the-north-county-land-trust/
