Spring is an incredibly active time for birds and the perfect opportunity to see and hear them. Join NCLT for a two-part Birding Marathon on May 5th, led by bird enthusiast Clay Hobart, to spot warblers and other species on the move. Our marathon will begin with a casual two hour stroll around our Kirby Conservation Area in Templeton at 8 am. Park at the end of Wilker Road in Ashburnham, just off of Rindge Turnpike. We will then reconvene in Fitchburg at our Crocker Conservation Area at 11 am to continue our search for bird activity. The parking area is at the end of Flat Rock Rd (off Prospect St) in Fitchburg. This event is free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend all or part of the event throughout the morning, keep in mind transportation will not be provided. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them.
