Warrant Article 23 is authorizing the Town to use funds to purchase a conservation restriction on 39 acres of fields and forest, protecting the rural character and scenic values of our Town. The funds for this project will be provided to the Town by NCLT and generous private donors. Even though there will be no cost to the Town, we still need an affirmative vote from the citizens.
This project benefits the Town by expanding upon already conserved private property providing more critical wildlife habitat, protecting the headwaters of Philips Brook (Nashua River watershed), and providing public trail access and connections.
Join us for a public information session to be held next Wednesday, April 27th, from 5-6 PM in the Community Room at the Stevens Memorial Library.
