“At Bemis we strive to enhance the communities in which we live, work, and play. Through our Charitable Giving and Volunteering programs, we partner with organizations that focus on the environment, education, and health and human services. Over the past 10 years Bemis has made contributions in excess of $3M to Non-Profit Organizations, while our employees have donated tens of thousands of volunteer hours.”
We are so grateful to have Bemis Worldwide Associates as our “Laurel Crown” sponsor for the Rock and Laurel 5K. Their commitment to the environment and local communities, along with a strong corporate ethic of investing in the health and well-being of their employees make them a perfect partner. Not only has Bemis sponsored the event at a top level and covered the entry fee for any employee wanting to register for the event, they are also matching all employee entry fees as an additional donation to NCLT. Due to their enthusiastic participation, we have Bemis employee registrants from Hong Kong, Korea, and China as well as dozens from north central Mass who will be participating in person!
For North County Land Trust, the Rock and Laurel 5K seeks to celebrate all of the benefits our conserved lands have to offer, while generating interest and support for the important work of NCLT. This signature event for North County Land Trust is in its second year and we plan to make it bigger and better every year.
Bemis Associates has grown from a single facility in Shirley focused on mostly domestic business to an adhesive maker with a global presence that collaborates with the world’s leading apparel, consumer electronic and industrial products. Bemis manufactures heat seal film adhesives, coatings and tapes to various industries and is a leader of the region’s manufactures for corporate social and environmental responsibility and local community investment. Bemis is a fourth generation, family-owned business, run by the Howard Family, with its roots firmly planted in New England.
We are looking forward to celebrating at the Rock and Laurel with all of our friends at Bemis Associates on June 26th. We appreciate their support and praise them for their commitment to making our communities, and the world, a better place.
