SUMMARY:Winter Seed Sowing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Winter sowing is the process of planting seeds outdoors in a co
 ntainer during the winter months. The container remains outdoors until the
  seedlings emerge in the spring. The container protects the seeds from ani
 mals and harsh weather\, but the exposure to colder temps breaks dormancy 
 and the seeds germinate.\n\nIn this workshop\, attendees will learn the sk
 ills needed to start their own winter sowing and will receive some referen
 ce materials to take home.\n\nAttendees will need to bring a vessel for p
 lanting (milk jug\, milk carton\, juice bottle\, 1/2 liter soda bottle\, e
 mpty pound salad greens container\, etc.) and seeds. You can usually find 
 these in a variety of places as they become available (dollar stores and h
 ardware stores\, etc). We will have some seeds available as well.\n\nRegis
 tration is required and space is limited. \n\nAfter registering\, a more 
 detailed list of materials needed will be sent along with any other import
 ant details needed.\n\nSnow date 2/4\, we will notify by email to registra
 nts the day before if we will reschedule to the snow date.
