 of agriculture and forestry that increases biodiversity and Silvopasture i
 s the practice of integrating trees\, forage\, and grazing domesticated an

 nPresenters:\n\nMichael Downey will present "Introduction to Agroforestry:
   The Science\, Practice and Possibilities for Massachusetts"\n\nMichael
  is a Service Forester and Forest Stewardship Program Coordinator for th
 e Massachusetts Bureau of Forest Fire Control and Forestry (DCR).  He wo
 rks with landowners and municipalities throughout the  commonwealth to s
 ustainably  manage their woods.  Before coming back to Massachusetts i
 n 2005\, he previously worked as a Service Forester for the Kentucky Divis
 ion of Forestry.  Michael holds a BS in Forestry from the University of M
 assachusetts\, Amherst and a BA in History from Westfield State College.
 ​\n\nKatherine MacFarland will present "What Is and Isn’t Silvopasture
  in the Northeast?"\n\nKate MacFarland is an Agroforester for the USDA Nat
 ional Agroforestry Center (NAC). She is part of the technology transfer te
 am at NAC\, serving as the liaison to the northeast\, Mid-Atlantic\, and w
 est coast regions. Her work focuses on providing leadership for national a
 nd regional workshops and trainings\, developing outreach materials for sc
 ience delivery to a range of technical and general audiences\, and support
 ing the integration of agroforestry into USDA programs.\n\nJeff Jourdain w
 ill present "Experiences Establishing Silvopasture: A Forester's Perspecti
 ve"\n\nJeff is a consulting forester based in Becket\, Massachusetts who h
 as worked with a number of landowners in recent years to evaluate and imp
 lement silvopasture projects in New England.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nTo register for
