SUMMARY:Hike with Faith: Solstice Sunset
DESCRIPTION:Join Faith Salter\, Executive Director\, for an easy paced wa
 lk at Longview Conservation Area. Wear appropriate footwear\, bring water 
 and wear warm layers. \n\nAfter visiting Longview to check out the condit
 ions\, for our comfort and safety\, the location has been changed from Lon
 gview Conservation Area to:\n\nE. Keyes Conservation Area\n147 Princeton R
 ad\nGardner\, MA 01440\n\nWhy make this change? E Keyes has a plowed parki
 ng area\, and most trails are compacted for easier walking. We will have a
  beautiful view out towards Mt Wachusett as the sun sets. At Longview the 
 snow is pretty deep\, and the parking area is tight with snowbanks.\n\nCon
 ditions at Keyes\nTrail conditions mostly packed snow with a chance of ice
  following tomorrow’s storm. There are some (optional) parts of this wal
 k that will require walking in ankle deep snow – nothing my snow boots c
 ouldn’t handle. If you like to have poles or traction in these condition
 s\, bring them. Wear layers. We will walk back to the parking lot at dusk.
 \n\nDuring our leisurely paced walk we will search out a frozen vernal poo
 l\, duck into a small hemlock grove\, and end on top of gently rolling hil
