SUMMARY:Foraging Walk with Owl Eyes Wilderness
DESCRIPTION:Foraging is a growing interest in our society and more people a
 re searching for ways to obtain food in a self reliant manner. It is essen
 tial to be sure we are foraging safely\, ethically\, and without causing d
 amage to our landscape. Every season and landscape offers unique and nutri
 tious plants to eat and prepare as medicine! Join us for a walk with Tim o
 f Owl Eyes Wilderness to explore Rome Conservation Area and learn about th
 e edible plants all around us.  Let’s go on a walk and learn about the 
 most local\, organic\, and free food in our area!\nTim will go over foragi
 ng ethics\, safety guidelines\, plant ID techniques\, respectful harvestin
 g\, and a variety of edible plants found in the landscape.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&
 nbsp\;\nWe will be hiking through varied terrain\, on and off trail\, up t
 o 1 mile. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking
 \, please also bring your own water.\nPlease register as space is limited.
