DESCRIPTION:If you've been out on our trails recently\, you might have noti
 ced that there are plenty of mushrooms around this season! That makes a pe
 rfect recipe for a fungi walk. North County Land Trust will be hosting jus
 t such a walk at Kirby Conservation Area. Author\, mycologist\, and ethnog
 rapher Lawrence Millman lead our previous fungi walk and is returning to l
 ead another at Kirby Conservation Area. He has published 16 books and give
 n talks for NPR\, Icelandic Radio\, Boston University\, and many other pla
 ces. We will explore the wacky world of mushrooms\, and learn about how th
 ey live and why they are important in the forest ecosystem. Join us on Oct
 ober 10th for this FUN-gi event\, rain or shine. Please note\, this is not
  a workshop on edible mushrooms. This free event is recommended for ages 1
 6 and up\, because of the level and detail of content. Space is limited\, 
 so please register below.\n\nTo get to Kirby Conservation Area\, head nor
 th on Rindge Turnpike\, then turn right on to Wilker Road. Continue until
  Wilker turns sharply to right\, then turn left to access Kirby Conservati
 on Area. There is no trail head parking area\, but parking is allowed on t
 he roadside.
