 ong the many species that the North County Land Trust protects? Curious ab
 out how differences in flash patterns can be used to identify firefly spe
 cies? Join Xerces Society firefly conservation biologist Richard Joyce for
  a firefly field night at Dwelly Farm Conservation Area. In order to creat
 e a firefly sanctuary at Dwelly Farm\, we are documenting the property's f
 irefly species and assessing its habitats.\n\nVolunteers will assist with 
 a firefly survey\, learning how to collect data for the Xerces Society's F
 irefly Atlas community science project. The firefly field night will take 
 place between sunset (8:00 PM) and about 10:30 PM. Volunteers should come 
 prepared for walking in low-light conditions on uneven terrain.\n\nBy regi
