 u – or sicken and kill you. They’re mushrooms\, the mysterious eruptio
 ns from an otherwise hidden world of life and death. Join amateur mycologi
 st\, Jonathan Kranz\, on a woodland walk-and-talk where we explore the joy
 s and hazards of the fungus among us\, discovering:\n\n 	The safest and mo
 st commonly found edible delicacies\n 	The most dangerous toxic mushrooms 
 in our region\n 	How to safely pick\, handle\, and identify your mushroom 
 finds\n 	How mushrooms live and what roles they play in our habitats\n\nMo
 re about Jonathan: A former park ranger (Fort Warren\, Boston Harbor)\, Jo
 nathan is now a popular mushroom walk leader and an entertaining mushroom 
 speaker. He currently holds leadership roles in both the Boston Mycologica
 l Club (BMC) and the Pioneer Valley Mycological Association (PVMA)\, and i
 s a member of the 2023 MA Audubon Field Naturalist Certification Program c
 ohort. Jonathan currently chairs the Ayer Planning Board\, and is an activ
 e volunteer for a number of nature-related activities\, including Harvard 
 Museum of Natural History’s annual “I &lt\;3 Science” program.\n\n&n
