DESCRIPTION:Amanda Melinchuk\, Bat Research Monitor with the Department of 
 Conservation and Recreation\, will share her expertise and talk about the 
 myths and misconceptions surrounding bats\; why bats are important\; the b
 ats in Massachusetts\, threats to bats such as White-Nose Syndrome\; how t
 o help bats\; and bat houses. After the PowerPoint presentation and questi
 on-and-answer session\, Amanda will lead the group on a short walk and usi
 ng technology will try to track some bats. Presentation is rain or shine. 
 For older children and adults\, all children must be accompanied by an adu
